MISSION
Our program goal is to teach each player the basic skills of volleyball: serving, setting, spiking, receiving a serve, rotation, and most importantly - good sportsmanship. Each team will consist of 8-10 players chosen by the Commissioner after evaluations. Coaches will emphasize player effort by following a team rotation throughout each game. Teamwork, communication, and good sportsmanship is a focal point of the program. Success is more than just winning. We encourage each player to display respect, effort, and team camaraderie on and off the court.
AGE DIVISIONS
The AYS Fall Volleyball program is a Recreational Coed League offered to players in the 3rd – 12th grade (grade level is based on 2024-2025 school year).
Players that make a Middle School or High School team are not eligible to participate in both AYS Rec. Volleyball and a school team.
AYS does encourage players to register for Rec. Volleyball so they claim their spot. In the event the player makes a school team, a refund will be issued. Click here for the Refund Policy.

Rec. Volleyball practices and games are usually held at Cedar, Hickory, River Birch and Avon Intermediate School West.
